‘From her demand for detailed knowledge of the score to precision of technique and gesture, Alice elevates her students to their next level with ease and inspiration. Her positive and affirmative teaching combined with her pinpoint diagnoses afford a focused and exciting classroom.’ Olivia Clarke – ENO Charles Mackerras Fellow
‘Alice Farnham just made a triumphant debut at the Mariinsky Theatre (2013). I can say that Alice Farnham is an excellent exemplar of this great (Musin) school of conducting. She conducts in a manner that is fluid, clear, expressive, encouraging the orchestra to sing. It is conducting that moves beyond simple rhythmic organisation and actually guides and shapes the sound of the orchestra’.
Leonid Korchmar – Professor, St Petersburg Conservatoire & Conductor, Mariinsky Theatre
