Lucica Trita - Violinist

BBC Symphony Orchestra. Lessons in English, Spanish and Romanian


Lucica Trita is a Violinist in “BBC Symphony Orchestra”, former leader of the “National Radio Orchestra of Romania” (first female leader of the orchestra) and former leader of the second violin section in “Orchestra Sinfonica de Galicia”, Spain. She is the leader of the “Orchestra Femenina Gallega”, has created and taken part in many prestigious chamber music ensembles. 


Lucica studied with Prof. Stefan Gheorghiu; whom studied with David Oistrakh, and she has taken part at numerous masterclasses with Prof. Zakhar Bron.


She has built a varied career as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestra player and an experienced teacher. As a soloist, she recorded CDs in Romania and in Spain, she is a laureate at important competitions, including “Jeunesses Musicales Belgrade 1986”, “National Competition of Romania 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1987” and she got offered a scholarship to study in the USA with professor Eduard Schmieder in “Paganini Competition, Italy 1995”. 


Lucica is an experienced teacher, able to teach students of all ages and abilities. Her teaching started at the “University of Music, Ciprian Porumbescu, Bucharest”. 


She was part of the jury at the “International Jeunesses Musicales Competition, Bucharest”. Lucica has worked with pupils from a young age until they become professional musicians. Her pupils include Mihai Tanasescu; violinist in “Orchestra Sinfonica de Galicia”, Tudor Trita, Elena Tenreiro; professor at the Conservatoire of Coruña, Spain, Adriana Arias; student at the Conservatoire of Madrid, Ines Alvarez; violin teacher in Madrid, Antonio Facal Rivas; violinist. 


She created various groups with her students, one of them being “Crescendo”, playing concerts in Galicia and in Spain. Lucica plays a french violin, made in 1890, and a german violin “Hermann Trapp, 1870”; used in chamber ensembles.
