Associate Leader of Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra
Praised by Strad magazine as a “poised and calmly confident player”, Shlomy Dobrinsky is a London-based concert Violinist, recording artist and teacher.
Achieving a Masters degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama following his undergraduate degree at The Royal College of Music, Shlomy has won prizes at various international violin competitions, including the Lipizier in Italy, the Unisa in Pretoria and the Philharmonia/MMSF Concerto Award which granted him an invitation to debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
As an orchestra player, Shlomy was a member of the Philharmonia Orchestra for 11 years and has also worked with some of the worlds finest orchestras such as LSO, LPO, ECO, RPO, BBC Symphony and Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, Shlomy has performed at the most prestigious concert halls including The Wigmore Hall and South Bank Centre, London.
Currently an Associate Leader of Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and guest Leader of London Concert Orchestra, Shlomy also enjoys guest co-leading The Royal Scotish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra, and Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, amongst others.
Shlomy enjoys teaching and has given masterclasses including at the Koster Festival, Sweden and Chipping Campden Academy, U.K. He has taught a range of private students, with one of his latest successfully being accepted at the Royal College of Music on a scholarship.
